• The 1881 census return was checked for the address given on her MC, but there was no trace of the FITCH family.
• Her MC states she was "over 21". We checked the Birth Indexes for 1851 to 1863 inclusive, finding 3 births registered in that name. One had a father named Joseph FITCH (as we knew from her MC).
• We are fairly certain the correct relative has been traced, but will be happier if the family can also be traced in the 1861 census return.
• Checked 1881 census return for Curtain Road address, but found no trace of the family.
• Checked both 1861 and 1871 census returns for 10, Halfmoon Street address, but found only Halfmoon Crescent and Halfmoon Passage.
• Found Isabella in 1881 census return at 140, Weston Street, Bermondsey.
