• She gave various dates for her birth; perhaps she was unaware of the correct date.
• On her MC she gave "John BIRCHMORE (deceased)" as her father, but her BC shows no father. It seems that John BIRCHMORE (M21) was actually her grandfather.
• Address given at her marriage proved to be that of her uncle, James BIRCHMORE, brother to her mother Mary Foxen BIRCHMORE (N12).
• Checked 1841 census return for her place of birth, tracing her grandmother(?) Mary BIRCHMORE, but not her mother. The 1841 census return shows (ages are to the nearest 5 years): Mary BIRCHMORE, age 47-52, William BIRCHMORE, age 23-27, Ag. Lab., Geo. BIRCHMORE, age 14, Ag. Lab., but not James BIRCHMORE (age 12) or John BIRCHMORE.
• Mary Foxen and James B. were siblings - both are recorded in the IGI as having father John and mother Mary.
